Welcome to the music program at Spaulding High School in Rochester, New Hampshire. There are very few organizations so rich in tradition and success that also include so many real-world experiences for young adults.

Opportunities open to the young people in our programs are as exciting as they are varied: chorus, handbell ensemble, honors programs, and, of course, the Spaulding High School Red Raider Marching Band. The Red Raider Marching Band has a long tradition of excellence. The marching band participates in home football games, parades, local and regional field-show festivals.

While performance makes up a large part of the curriculum, additional educational opportunities in the areas of research, theory, composition, improvisation, creativity, and discovery will also be available to interested students.

The musical activities are the core and center of the music program, but the program emphasizes a total learning experience for students. During the year, students participate in leadership development programs, learn and apply time management skills, financial budgeting, and team building skills. Students in the Spaulding Music Program are expected to set high goals for themselves and their program. The reward for meeting these expectations is immeasurable. Spaulding Music members grow musically, emotionally, mentally and socially.
